Confidentiality Policy

Last updated: August 21, 2026. PlugServices is operated by Plug Trading Services Inc. This policy explains who can see the information that passes through our platform, and the rules everyone who touches it must follow.

1. The principle

Every name, email address, phone number and order that passes through PlugServices belongs to the person who gave it to us. We hold it in confidence, we use it only for the purpose it was given, and we never sell it. Vos informations vous appartiennent — nous ne les vendons jamais.

2. What each party can see

  • Attendees see their own tickets and order history — nothing belonging to anyone else. Tickets can be retrieved anytime at the guest portal using the email address on the order.
  • Organizers see the attendee list for their own events only — name, email, phone and ticket type, so they can run the door and contact ticket-holders about that event. An organizer can never see attendees, sales or contact details from another organizer's event. This boundary is enforced in the software, not by policy alone.
  • Venues, sponsors and partners receive aggregate figures only — headcount, ticket types sold — never a guest list, unless the organizer and PlugServices both agree in writing.
  • Our team accesses personal data only when operating the platform or answering a support request, and only the minimum needed to resolve it.

3. What organizers agree to

Listing an event on PlugServices means accepting the following, without exception:

  • Attendee information is used only to deliver and support that event — check-in, schedule changes, cancellation notices.
  • It is never sold, rented, traded, or handed to a third party.
  • It is never uploaded into an unrelated mailing list or advertising audience.
  • Marketing for future events requires the attendee's own consent, obtained separately.
  • Downloaded guest lists are stored securely and deleted once the event is closed out.

Breaching these terms ends the organizer's access to the platform and any attendee data in it.

4. Payment information

Card details are entered directly into our payment processor's secure fields and are never visible to PlugServices, to organizers, or to anyone on our team. We hold no card numbers on our servers. Interac e-Transfer payments are handled entirely between the buyer's bank and ours; we record only that the payment arrived and which order it settles.

5. Confidential business information

Sales figures, payout amounts, pricing strategy and attendance numbers belong to the organizer who generated them. We treat them as confidential business information, publish nothing without written permission, and disclose them internally only to the people who need them to run the platform or settle payouts. The same protection applies in reverse: information organizers and partners share with us in confidence — contracts, budgets, sponsor terms — stays with us.

6. Photography & media at events

Photos and video from an event are governed by that organizer's own media policy, communicated at the venue. Where PlugServices publishes event imagery in our gallery or on social media, we remove any image on request from a person appearing in it — email hello@plugservices.ca and it comes down.

7. Security & retention

The platform is served entirely over SSL/TLS encryption. Access to attendee data is restricted to the organizer of that event and our operations team, and is logged. We keep order records only as long as ticketing, accounting and legal obligations require, then delete or anonymize them. If a breach ever affected your information, we would notify you and the appropriate authorities promptly.

8. Your control

You can request access to the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw consent to marketing at any time. Email hello@plugservices.ca, or reply "unsubscribe" to any email we send. Requests are honoured promptly and at no cost.

9. Reporting a concern

If you believe information has been mishandled — by us, by an organizer, or by anyone using the platform — write to hello@plugservices.ca with "Confidentiality" in the subject line. Every report is investigated and answered.
