PlugServices ("we", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial and US laws.
Information we collect
- Account & purchase data: name, email, phone, and billing details when you buy tickets or create an account.
- Payment data: processed securely by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Organizer data: details you submit when listing an event.
- Usage data: cookies and analytics (e.g. pages viewed) to improve the site.
How we use it
- To process ticket orders and deliver your QR tickets.
- To communicate about events, orders, and (with consent) marketing.
- To operate, secure, and improve the platform.
Sharing
We share necessary information with event organizers (for attendee lists), payment processors, and service providers who help us run the site. We do not sell your personal information.
Your rights
You may access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, and withdraw marketing consent at any time, by contacting hello@plugservices.ca.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to run the site and optional analytics/marketing cookies. You can decline non-essential cookies via the consent banner.
2. Terms of Use
- Tickets: a ticket is a revocable licence to attend an event, subject to the organizer's and venue's rules.
- Organizers: by listing an event you confirm you have the right to host it and that your listing is accurate. PlugServices may moderate or remove listings.
- Service fees: PlugServices currently charges a 0% platform fee (free for African events). Bank/payment-processing fees may apply per transaction. Any future booking/service fee will be disclosed before payment.
- Conduct: you agree not to misuse the platform, resell tickets fraudulently, or violate applicable laws.
- Liability: PlugServices facilitates ticketing; the organizer is responsible for the event itself. Our liability is limited to the ticket price paid, to the extent permitted by law.
3. Refund Policy
- Cancelled events: if an event is cancelled, ticket holders receive a full refund of the ticket price.
- Postponed events: tickets are honoured for the new date; if you can't attend, request a refund within the stated window.
- Change of mind: individual ticket refunds are at the organizer's discretion and must be requested at least 7 days before the event unless stated otherwise.
- How to request: email hello@plugservices.ca with your order number. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method via Stripe.
